On March 31, National Star Optoelectronics announced that it has reached a preliminary cooperation intention with government of Chancheng District, Foshan City, and plans to invest RMB 1 to 2 billion (the specific amount is subject to actual approval) to build a production line of packaged devices and application products, and supporting facilities.

National Star stated that the company's planned investment and construction project on the site aims to continue to expand the company's existing superior packaging devices and application product production capacity, and increase the layout and development of emerging fields such as MiniLED, and enhance the company's core products in the high-end Market competitiveness and market share.
